A position exists within a large shipping company based in the ever-growing and popular Walvis Bay - Namibia.
 
This company is looking for a motivated, dynamic individual with strong business and financial acumen.
You will report to the Branch manager as well as the Head Office Financial Accountant.
 
You will be responsible for the following functions:
-  Ensuring compliance with the company’s accounting procedures and compliance to generally accepted accounting standards
-  Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
-  Assisting with the  maintenance and improvement of accounting controls
-  Assisting with financial year ends, company tax etc
-  Controlling and motivating sub-ordinates and sustaining an effective IR climate
 
Role Requirements:
-  Recognised accounting degree/qualification
-  Completion of articles
-  Approx. 5 yrs decision making skills at a similar level
-  Accurate Financial analytical skills
-  Good planning and organising skills
-  Excellent communication skills, assertive and a positive attitude ● Financial & business acumen
-  Broad global business perspective
-  Self motivated and able to lead and work as part of a team
-  Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines
-  Work standards and ethics
